Dorst MediaWorks' specialty is producing short documentary films for development organizations. These stories feature beneficiaries and show how projects improve their lives. They illustrate development results, raise awareness, or mobilize funds. Topics include: health, agriculture, governance, the environment, gender, microfinance, and education. Dorst has directed and produced on five continents. Clients include: USAID and its partners, Catholic Relief Services, International Executive Service Corps, IFC, PIR, the Red Cross, USDA, Women for Women International, and the World Bank Group.

Video Storytelling: Visual Primacy and the Hero’s Quest

I’m a lucky man. Yesterday, I got to talk about my two passions–documentary filmmaking and international development–as one of four panelists at the Society for International Development’s (SID) “Storytelling with Data” event in Washington, D.C.
